Purba Art Fair & Exhibition (PAFAE) is a community-driven art movement rooted in Damak, Jhapa, Nepal. What began as a single exhibition in 2019 has grown into an annual celebration of creativity, community, and compassion — uplifting the local art scene and Artists ,connecting similar minds and different dynamic souls cherishing the passion of freedom of expressions inspiring the younger generations through ART.

PAFAE is an initiative of Damak Home Studio ,
“PAFAE’s objective is to merge art with social impact.
We aim to showcase artists and artworks through exhibitions while taking art as a tool for education and hope. Every last Friday of the month , at Damak Baal-Bridda Ashram Our volunteers teach art, share ideas, and kindle creativity in children who may otherwise never hold a paintbrush. This is what PAFAE is truly about — not just exhibitions, but education and hope.

Five Chapters
2019
1st Edition — The Beginning
Damak Home Studio inaugurated the first edition of PAFAE at Kendra Bhawan,Damak-6, Jhapa with the initiative of Kala Drishya Nepal, Future in our hands, Artzoo Nepal and Eden Tatto Nepal raising funds for Hamro Baal Ashram , providing and promoting local Art scene and Artists.
2020
2nd Edition — Growing Roots
At D-town restaurant Damak-1, the platform expanded with more participating artists connecting inspiring sharing ideas,skills and knowledge .
2021
3rd Edition — Art in Resilience
Despite challenges, the 3rd edition pressed forward — with 3 days of celebration ,freedom of expressions connecting more Artists globally .
2023
4th Edition — Global Reach
International and local artists exhibited side by side, broadening PAFAE’s reach beyond Nepal. This was not just an exhibition but the greatest Art festival of Purba , Nepal , which was held at Dhimal Jatiya Bikash Kendra, Bhalu khudi , Damak-3 for 3 consecutive days with Art exhibition ,live painting, live music , live tattooing, Coffee ,exchanging food ,love and culture. The cultural dance from Aankan silli Ruhup, Damak was on another level.
2025
NOW5th Edition — The ART Cafe
PAFAE found its permanent home at The ART Cafe in Damak-6 — a living gallery of art, plants, food, and culture. The 5th edition runs throughout the year, connecting similar minds across the globe with so many more workshops happening throughout the year.

Zenas Uprety
The visionary behind PAFAE, Zenas founded PAFAE with a mission to bridge art and social impact. To create a platform for local Art scene and Artists connecting similar minds different dynamic souls to share ideas, skills and knowledge cherishing the passion of freedom of expressions inspiring the younger generations through Art while giving back to the community.

Osin Chamling Rai is an emerging ,inspiring and amazing Artist currently working on her original EP, leads the management teams, Art interaction sessions at Ashram and also the official host of the 4th and the 5th edition of PAFAE.

Uzwal Shrestha
Uzwal is the architect of PAFAE’s digital presence. He built the platform from the ground up and continues to maintain and refine it, ensuring the organization remains open and accessible to a worldwide audience. Through his work, the voices of our artists, the heart of our mission, and the cause we stand for travel far beyond Jhapa to find friends and supporters across the globe.

Sabin A.K.A Pyatuu , is an emerging, amazing inspiring cinematographer from purba , Damak , who has been leading the media and management team from the 1st edition of PAFAE.

Ajay Dhimal is a Damak – based singer, songwriter, and frontman of the band Rocking filili.
He plays an active role in PAFAE ,particularly handling its live music and production branch.
